The I-Teams from two school districts and I just spent two days working with various Web 2.0 resources and talking about our roles in helping our schools' staffs integrate technology to increase learning. We focused these two days on learning for ourselves. One of the things we've decided to do is use the TeachStrong.org site as our experiment in virtual learning as a team.
We are a WAN (wide-area network) of sorts; teachers, media specialists and administrators from different schools sharing together what learning ought to look like in the 21st century. We've started a group on TeachStrong, and committed to giving this type of web applicaiton a good effort over the next year to measure its impact on learning for us. Then we ought to be able to figure out how we can use this type of tool with other teachers and with students.
Hooray for us! We're taking even bigger steps forward than before!
