An Online Professional Learning Community for Educators

I am a librarian in Kansas and was wondering what type of workshops, etc are available in other states for librarians?
In Kansas there is the annual convention and in the fall each district has a Saturday workshop. About once a year there is a Peggy Sharp workshop available locally.
I am just trying to brainstorm what other avenues might be beneficial to librarians in Kansas and elsewhere. There is a growing trend when a librarian retires to replace them with a para professional. What training is available for them?
Shoot me some ideas from all you librarians out there!
